This repair hinge is a direct replacement for the hinge mechanism on the back of the 2008/2009 Kawasaki Concours 1400, GTR 1400 tank storage compartment lid.  It snaps onto the existing mounts providing replacement.  If the mounting bosses on the back  of the lid are brokeno, it provides a template to drill the lid and bolt the bracket directly to the lid.
